A Growing Enthusiasm

This past month has provided a lot of excitement for our congregation. Our community wide “Freedom in Christ Day” was a huge success in every way. And now, at the time of the priting of this article, Simpson County Youth Camp has experienced some tremendous results. Over twenty young people were baptized into Christ and three persons were restored as of Friday morning! Amen! And what is so wonderful is that others were in deep thought concerning their desire to give their life to Christ in obedience.

Beyond just these two great events, there are other activities that will provide additional excitement and enthusiasm for the future. There will be the youth mission trip to Rocky Mount, VA, our Wednesday night summer series in August and September, and our “Friends and Family Day” in late September with brother Walt Leaver. As if that were not enough, we will also be hosting the 3rd Annual Teacher Training Series on Saturday, November 1. There are plenty of reasons to be enthused about our future!

If you are not currently involved in an active way in church, it is my prayer that you will become involved. There are so many opportunities for personal growth. Come be a part of the excitment that is happening at church. In so doing, you will become a stronger, more faithful Christian, and you will also help strengthen our influence in a world that desperately needs to hear the gospel of our Lord.
