ELDERS AND MINISTERS MEETING
The elders and ministers will have their next scheduled meeting this Sunday at 4:00 p.m. Individuals with items for their discussion are asked to please contact Ralph Warren, who is serving as the moderator this quarter.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT MEAL
The next Wednesday Night Meal is scheduled to take place this Wednesday, October 14 from 5:15-6:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. Care Group #4 will be hosting this meal. The menu will include: pizza and dessert. The cost is $5.00 per person and $3.00 for children 12 and below. Please sign the list posted in the foyer by THIS SUNDAY if you plan to attend this meal.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT LADIES’ CLASS
The Wednesday Night Ladies’ class will resume this Wednesday, October 14 in room #12. Tammy Curd will be teaching this class from the book of Philippians.

UPCOMING AREA EVENTS
- Foundation Christian Academy Fall Festival on Saturday, October 17. Festival begins at 1:00 p.m. and auction at 2:30 p.m.
- Crittenden Drive Church of Christ Annual Singing on Sunday, October 18 at 2:30 p.m. The song leaders will include: Ray Walker, Steve McCarley, Frank Walton, and Todd Walker.
- White House Church of Christ Spiritual Revival on October 26-27 at 6:45 p.m. The speaker will be Carson Reed from the Northlake Church of Christ in Atlanta, GA.

WEDDING SHOWER
All ladies are invited to attend a wedding shower honoring Kim and Josh Sliger on Sunday, October 25. The shower will take place in the Fellowship Hall at 3:00 p.m. Kim is the former Kim Gant.

SHARE TIME RESCHEDULED
The first meeting of Share Time has been rescheduled for Sunday, October 25 at 3:30 p.m. instead of October 18. You may contact Jim Ferguson for more information concerning this new ministry.

A NEW FRANKLIN CHURCH PICTORIAL DIRECTORY
Get ready for a new Franklin Church Pictorial Directory coming soon! Sign-ups for portrait sessions will be during the month of November. Lifetouch photographers will be here at the building during the week of December 1-5. Times of the portrait sessions will be: Tuesday-Friday from 2:30-8:30 p.m. and Saturday from 9:30 a.m-3:30 p.m. The pictures that you order are scheduled to arrive before Christmas. The new Church Directories are scheduled for arrival during the month of February 2010.

SENIOR SAINTS’ BANQUET
Plans are being made, and it is time to mark your calendars for the 28th edition of our annual Senior Saints’ Banquet. The banquet will be held this year on Friday, November 13 in the Fellowship Hall. A sign up sheet has been posted in the foyer for everyone who plans to attend this year’s banquet. The committee also would like to make sure all of our Senior Saints get a chance to come to the banquet. Transportation will be provided for anyone wishing to ride the church bus. Please make sure to mark if you need a ride on the sign up sheet.

OUR SINCEREST SYMPATHIES
We extend our sympathies to Joyce Sampson and her family in the passing of her husband, H. G. “Hap” Sampson, last Monday. The memorial service for brother Sampson was held on Friday afternoon here in Franklin.

We extend our sympathies to the family and friends of David Sloan in his passing on Monday in Florida. Mr. Sloan is related to several families in this congregation.
